Award-winning absurdist comedy double act

About

Who are The Delightful Sausage?

The Delightful Sausage are a surreal Northern double act created by weirdo comedy top lads, Amy Gledhill and Christopher Cantrill. Since joining forces they’ve built a cult following all over the UK and really confused a lot of middle-class broadsheet reviewers. Their work is celebrated for its high gag-rate, authentic Northern voice and the well-drawn characters.

The early years

The duo met on the baby circuit when they both appeared in an episode of Call the Midwife; You can’t stop me calling my baby Adolf Hitler (un-broadcast). Years later they met up again in Manchester and started running a wildly underattended comedy night together.

The Big Time

Since then they’ve gone on to produce 3 critically acclaimed sketch comedy shows but they’re probably best known for their hit single, Butterfly which reached number 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Ginster’s Paradise is their most recent show. It was nominated for ‘Best Show’ at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards and was about to go on a tour of the UK until ol’ Uncle COVID put the stoppers on that.

Despite achieving great fame and a level of personal wealth which would make a pharaoh blush, both Amy and Chris remain incredibly humble.

Is the world flat?

Yes.
